Johnny Manziel is DONE

Well at least for the preseason.
Johnny Manziel has lost his opportunity to impress this preseason and potentially unseat Josh McCown. Manziel is suffering from elbow soreness. Enough that Coach Pettine sent him for an MRI. It turns out that Manziel has no structural damage, its wear and tear from the way he throws. While most quarterbacks suffer from shoulder damage Manziel throws a little differently. He sort of dips and this puts a ton of torque on his elbow. This is a pretty big worry considering that Manziel was supposed to get starting reps Saturday against the Bucs. This injury also means that McCown is a shoe in for starter QB. Manziel needed to show his stuff after his lost rookie season. The thing about this elbow injury may also mean this is a reoccurring soreness and therefore hindering Manziel from success.
If this keeps up the Browns may need to continue searching for another arm, use Pat Devlin or Thad Lewis and possibly convert Terrelle Pryor back to quarterback.
Sorry Browns fans, things aren’t looking so good.
