The on going saga of Dez Bryant wanting to get paid marched along today on Twitter. The eloquently worded young Bryant declared to Twitterverse “I will not be there if no deal.”
Well one my ponder his lack of a full sentence with his passion for money it may also be Calvin Johnson fuelled envy.
There is no overlooking that Johnson’s contract is the apple of Bryant’s eye. Johnson inked a deal in 2012 worth $113,450,000 over 7 years with an average total of $16,207,143 per year.
To spice up this little Cowboys drama a little more Jerry Jones (Cowboys Owner) is now suspected of colluding over Bryant’s contract with Broncos’ Elway. The Bronocos have their own little signing drama in the form of Demaryius Thomas. Whether the two colluded or not hardly matters to Dez. If the Cowboys don’t offer him something to his liking by the cut off date on July 15th.
However Bryant could wait until Week 10 to show up and collect the $5.27 million owed to him under the tender. Or be an early bird and show up just before Week 1 to collect $12.8 million.
I don’t know about you but I love this glorious NFL specific game of chicken.
